What else can I say but… read this. If things go anyway like they have over the past five years, then this will also be swept under the rug and forgotten. How long can this continue. We “Americans” are being lied to and misled on a daily basis by our leaders and the media. It has to stop. This is not a Republican thing or a Democrat thing. This is a “having a future” thing.

Some days it feels like I’m living “silent running” (mike-&-the-mechanics). I would link to the lyrics… but the internet is too full of crap for that. Just like politics.

Seems Dell has taken the most interesting step of deleting their online forums. The Register has a great quote related to the fiasco:

Part of the problem seems to have stemmed from Jeff Jarvis, a columnist on the San Francisco Examiner, who summed up his anger in a letter to a Dell VP, saying: “This machine is a lemon. Your at-home and complete care service is a fraud. Your customer service is appalling. Your product is dreadful. Your brand is mud.”

I’ve been watching the Apple repair status site very closely since sending in my iPod the second time. I’ve been concerned that there would be complications getting this problem taken care of. I was happy to see today that Apple has ordered mr up a new iPod to replace my lazy one.
I have always said that failures are to be expected. The true difference between a good company and Dell is that the good one will honor their warentee, and get your problem corrected. In my experience thus far, Apple has yet to fail me.
Now it is time to prepare for my trip!
